SOLANGE Gleichstellung nicht deine Lieblingsstellung ist, bin ich Feminist:in.

AS LONG AS traditional roles are the only role play you know, I will be a feminist.

The numbers published in the most recent report on gender equality in the Federal State of Vorarlberg’s reveal a huge disparity between the small number of women in leading positions and the majority of women responsible for carework at home. “It’s about time we switched up the roles,” artist Katharina Cibulka notes. She believes the feminist cause is not a topic for women, but rather concers society as a whole. Pointing out relevant issues is the key to solving societal problems for everyone.

Beyond the personal sphere, businesses and policy makers need to create more inclusive frameworks: Without flexible working hours, closing the pay gap and wide-ranging childcare, the situation will not improve.

“City hall is a place where people seek advice, it is a service center for all citizens. At the same time, it is also a place where decisions for our future are discussed and mad. The current renovation aims at making this house more accessible and barrier-free. During the renovation phase, AS LONG AS will carry the message of equality from the outside in and vice versa.
